Downtime Explained

Apr 30, 2008

If you had any problems accessing my blog for the past day or so, it was because ComputingHost was doing an emergency migration of servers. The original downtime was not supposed to exceed 24 hours, but due to some unforeseen problems, it took longer than expected.

I lost track on the number of times:

  • I went onto the live support to get some assistance
  • Opened mail to check for any replies to my ticket
  • Attempting to connect to my blog

I could very well type whatever I wanted to blog about on TextEdit and conveniently copy and paste whatever I have just written onto my write post panel. To effectively write a post, I need to have my blogging environment ready which is none other than the WordPress admin. Not even TextEdit, Notepad or Windows Live Writer come close to replacing it.
